Sweetnaaassss
I just picked up 8 tickets for my friends and I to Game 10 of the World Cup, USA vs. Czech Republic!
I still havn´t found an apartment, which has kinda cast a shadow on all the other good things going on right now. I may end up having to take something in Nürnberg, which, despite being an awesome city and one Id love to live in, is about an hour commute with train and bus to work each day.......
But, Friday has come and the celebration throughout Germany has begun! Ive got a long weekend to have fun, sleep at friends places, drink crap American beer at the game (purely in spite of German apartments, and their not being available), and then Ill resume my temporary frustrations and apartment search on Tuesday...
till then, Ciao biao

3 of my aunts and 1 uncle are currently wandering around germany. if you run into them, tell them HI for me... and to call me for coffee when they get home :)
good luck with the apartment thing.
and cheer loudly whilst drinking crappy american beer just to spite them!
Hey. I just came back from my traineeship in Stuttgart, Germany in Dec. Here's a link for finding available rooms for rent over there. http://www.EasyWG.de/index.cfm?ac=stgtcom Just click on english if you dont understand german cuz i dont. And then you can check different cities in Germany. This is a popular site even for my german friend.
If not, your city should have a homepage that would be a nice tool for resources. But since Erlangen is small, there's a link on my page about stuttgart which might be helpful for finding resources for you too.
I've never been to Erlangen but by just guessing, I think you should live in Erlangen instead of the other city you work in. Cuz for nightlife, living faraway sucks. There might not be transportation at night or after midnight and it gets fustrating. (But that's just my prediction of your city.) Other German cities are not like berlin where they have night buses or easy access to things.
If anything, feel free to contact me at bellyjelly77@yahoo
