Care Packages

Does anyone know if you can send bottles of soda overseas? Or would the unpressurized cabin of an airplane cause it to blow up all over everything?????

last time i was in the post office, there was a large sign with one of those circles with a cross through it .... inside the circle was cheese, fruite, wine, etc... i'm guessing that soda may be included in that, too...

I've taken soda - or what normal people call 'soft drinks' ;) as hand luggage! nothing happened!!!I've actually even taken in my suitcase!! not sure though ! :D you find coke and stuff on a plane..... and none have ever exploded when i was served.... but if you post it, it is different i guess, cause they move it from one place to another not too carefully.... you'd just have to warn the person you're sending them to just in case in explodes in their face! :)

oh, and as far as "what happened," I opted not to send a carbonated beverage/soft drink/pop/soda, and instead sent some Jose Cuervo Margarita mix...

not sure what the laws are regarding sending alcohol through the mail, but i lied on the customs form and just said it was fruit juice.

Sara Sadek sent Adam Lichtenheld a Heineken from Hong Kong and it was fine. For future reference...
